Scholarships

Application Forms:

The WA College of Agriculture ‐ Denmark invites students to participate in its Scholarship program announced in Term 3 each year.

A number of scholarships are available to Year 10, 11 & Year 12 students.

Last year, more than 30 prizes and awards were sponsored by the agricultural education sector and associated industry providers.

Scholarships and awards are presented during the Graduation Ceremony scheduled for Friday, 15th November 2024.

2025 Scholarships - Now Open

George Elliot Memorial scholarship:

Eligibility: 2024 Year 9 or 10 student who resides in the catchment area of Denmark Senior High School.
Criteria: see application form via the links provided on the left.

Albany Regional Commercial Horticulturists:

Eligibility: 2024 Year 10 student, current student.
Criteria: Must have an interest in Horticulture.

KL & ML Bidstrup Scholarship:

Eligibility: 2024 Year 10 or 11, current student.
Criteria: Please explain how you would use the $500 worth of funding to undertake an extracurricular activity in the agriculture industry. Include the benefits you expect to receive and how this could be useful in the future.

WA Farmers Agriculture Ambassador Scholarship:

Eligibility: 2024 Year 11 student.
Criteria: Students who have a strong interest in the state’s agricultural industry and its future and who wish to be a junior representative for industry promotion. 

Stirling to Coast Farmers:

Eligibility: 2024 Year 11 ATAR student.
Criteria: A 500 – 1000-word essay addressing the following:
Discuss the different constraints/challenges of farming in the high rainfall zone compared to the low rainfall zone of Western Australia.

Phillip Marshall Scholarship for Excellence in Horticulture:

Eligibility: 2024 Year 11 student.
Criteria: Have demonstrated a strong level of interest and performance in the College’s horticulture enterprise and are looking toward a career in the horticultural sector

Brunswick Agencies Trade Scholarship:

Eligibility: 2024 Year 11 student.
Criteria: Intending to enrol in the Year 12 trades program in 2024.

Neville Munns Memorial Scholarship:

Eligibility 2024 Year 11 or 12 student.
Criteria: who shows outstanding interest and potential in the area of sheep and wool handling or shearing and/or shed handing. Students need to have demonstrated an aptitude and ability in shearing, shed handing or wool handling and be interested in a career in sheep and wool.

RAS Scholarship:

Eligibility: 2024 Year 11 Residential student.
Criteria: who demonstrates the potential of being involved in an accepted career in agriculture.

Shire of Denmark Scholarship:

Eligibility: 2024 Year 9 or 10 student.
Criteria: The applicant must be a student who plans to attend the WA College of Agriculture - Denmark, and is a Year 9 or 10 student residing in the Shire of Denmark.
